We held our mid-summer auction on Tuesday 17th June at The View, Wootton Wawen. It was a lovely warm evening with 150 or so attendees in the upstairs suite which has an excellent outlook over the canal and small marina.
The firm’s auctioneer, Richard Abbey was on good form as always, firstly introducing the 5 lots and the solicitors representing each vendor and then proceeded to offer the lots in the following order:
Lot 1: Blue Lake Cottage, Norton Green Lane, Knowle, Solihull, B93 8PJ
This lot sold for £535,000 after spirited bidding. The purchaser was then given the option to acquire the second lot, The Stables, at the same address (Norton Green Lane, Knowle, Solihull, B93 8PJ), for £250,000, which they accepted.
Lot 3: Church Meadows, Dormston Lane, Dormston, Inkberrow, WR7 4JX
The property sold for £725,000 after a round of strong bidding from all corners of the room!
Lot 4: 6.96 Acres known as Bridge Meadow, Stratford Road, Hockley Heath, Solihull, B94 5NP
This was offered at auction with a guide price of £135,000. We anticipated strong competition, and the bidding proved to be very spirited from various sectors of the room. The gavel finally fell at £290,000!
The vendor was extremely pleased with this result and fully supported the advice received from Earle’s to put the property to auction to achieve the best possible sale price.
