The Forest Of Arden Agricultural Society was founded in 1946, at the end of the war. The society aims to preserve and promote agricultural activities in the local area.

They are well known for their annual ploughing and hedge laying competitions which are held on the third Thursday of September, every year, at a different locations across the district.

However, this year was an exception, as due to the coronavirus pandemic it had to be cancelled which is only the fourth time in 74 years that this has happened. The society won’t let this stop them though and the wheels are already in motion for 2021!
