On Tuesday 16th December 2025, we held our final collective land and property auction of the year at The View in Wootton Wawen, at the usual start time of 6:30pm.

Despite the particularly cold and misty December evening, potential purchasers were soon warmed by the complimentary mulled wine and mince pies that were served on arrival!

Originally, seven lots were scheduled to be offered on the night, however, three were sold prior to the auction for excellent sums, achieving figures in excess of their guide prices. In addition, two lots were withdrawn and are expected to be re-marketed in the New Year.

As a result, only two lots were offered for sale on the evening. The first was an interesting parcel of land located in the village of Pebworth, while the second comprised a pair of Victorian cottages in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of the world renowned and celebrated playwright and poet, William Shakespeare, and the properties themselves are prominently situated very close to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Bidding commenced at a very modest £250,000, but a spirited “back and forth” between four parties soon ensued, ultimately resulting in the gavel falling at the exceptional figure of £425,000.
