Henley in Bloom is a voluntary organisation with an aim to enhance the town’s appearance by planting and maintaining the bright and beautiful flowers, for the benefit of the local community as well as visitors. Between 1st June and 30th September, volunteers undertake the task of planting, deadheading and watering the various pots, troughs and hanging baskets throughout the town.
As a local business, John Earle have been supporters of this organisation for the past three years. In 2018, we were favoured by being awarded ‘1st Place’ in the ‘Business Frontage’ category class and this year we are continuing to strive, keeping the standard as high as possible in order to preserve the picturesque state of the High Street.
As sponsors, we understand that our contribution, this year, has gone towards multiple new planters with built-in reservoirs to help reduce the regular watering commitments of the dedicated volunteers. With the sweltering weather we’ve experienced this week, we’re sure that these have come in handy!
