Henley in Bloom

We are proud to be the main sponsors this year for Henley in Bloom.

Within our beautiful town, there are private gardens, public gardens, old gardens, restful gardens, bee friendly gardens and gardens full of life.

Henley in Bloom was officially founded in 1991, and they are a voluntary / community organisation, whose aim is to enhance the beauty of the town with flowering plants.

Maintaining the planters, deadheading and watering takes place between 1st June and 30th September (about 5 times per day during this heatwave!).  Residents and businesses alike are encouraged to ‘Adopt a Pot’ and water flowers near their properties.

An annual grant from Henley Joint Parish Council covers just a portion of the expenses, with John Earle’s sponsorship covering a larger part.  Other fund raising activities taking place are the Tombola Stall at the ‘Court Leet’ in June, and a cake stall and street collection will take place in July.
