About Us
The long-established and much respected firm of Earles was founded in 1935 by John Reginald Earle who, until that time, had been the Stock Auctioneer at the Henley-in-Arden Stock and Produce Market.
In the 1950s and 60s, his two sons, Tony and David, joined the practice, both of whom became Fellows of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and was then known as John Earle and Sons. Sadly, David Earle passed away in 1997. In 1980, the team was strengthened by the arrival of Peter Cornford, who is also a Fellow of the Institution of Chartered Surveyors and The National Estate Agents Association, and in 2000, he took over the reins of the firm and rebranded as John Earle. Richard Abbey, also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, joined the practice as an Associate in 1995 and heads the Agricultural and Auctioneering Department. Tony Earle retired in 2000 and sadly, passed away in the late summer of 2002. The business has retained its traditional, professional approach, considered to be very necessary in the volatile property environment of the early twenty-first century. With effect from 1st April 2007 Peter Cornford invited Richard Abbey to join him in partnership. In 2021, the company branding was updated and the business is now known as Earles.
