Our first auction for the autumn season was well received by a large crowd at the Henley in Arden Golf & Country Club, there was standing room only as a range of lots attracted a huge crowd with some lots far exceeding expectations.

Land at Elvers Green Lane, Barston was the first lot to go under the hammer comprising of 11.34 Acres of good pasture land and frontage to the River Blythe. With competition from a largely local crowd, this parcel of land achieved well in excess of the guide price set at £85,000 and went on to sell for £116,000.

The second lot of the day – The Building Plot at Rowney Green, – failed to meet the reserve. This is a very interesting opportunity and offers full planning permission for a 4 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed family home. This plot is now available for sale by private treaty for £320,000.

Highs and lows continued throughout the evening with a spirited contest for the 10.75 Acres at Mappleborough Green ending with a fall of the gavel at a pleasing £80,000. Both The Old Post Office & Kennels at Portway and Kymin – an ample 4 bedroomed family home in Mappleborough Green fell shy of their respective reserves. Both are now available for sale by private treaty with Kymin being available at £320,000 and The Old Post Office & Kennels being available for £375,000.

The star of the night was the final lot – 75 Loxley Road. Whilst bidding started slowly, fierce competition soon followed from all corners of the room. The gavel fell at an impressive £456,000 creating a huge buzz across the room. 75 Loxley Road had a guide of £320,000 and was bought by a family moving into the area from the South of England.
